HOW TO DEAL WITH BULLYING

One should be exposed to various methods of handling the act of bullying; in order to ensure no misappropriation return to bullying and maintain a raised self-esteem after a bully.
Some of the simple ways of dealing with bullying include:
1. Move away from the scene of a bully.
Sometimes the situation may be threatening it’s best to get away from the bully.
It is good to calmly walk away from the person even if danger is not involved in the situation.
You can try walking toward other people or relevant authorities that will not tolerate the act.
2. Try to stay calm.
Bullying is mainly aimed at provoking an emotional response out of you or even concerning yourself with actions that show you are ignoring the bully’s utterance. By doing so, you avoid showing them how you feel. The bully may feed off of these emotions and increase their efforts
3. Politely ask the bully to stop if you feel safe doing so. Don’t try to confront the bully if you feel like doing so might put you in danger.
Make use of assertive body language, stand straight and face the bully. Without showing fear look the bully in the eye when you are speaking to them. Don’t look down and don’t try to make yourself smaller, such as by folding your arms or bringing your knees in close to your body as this will give them dominance over you giving the bully a better chance to bully you.
If there is no physical, using direct, assertive communication and body language is a good way to tell off the bully.
4. have a few deep breaths and think about something that enlightens you or moments in life that made you feel the epitome of happiness you can even take chance to call one of your favorite people who brightens your day. This may help you to shy away from the situation and avoid inappropriate emotional reactions.
